Nanomechanics and nanocomposites are two important disciplines of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Significant progress has been made in nanomechanics and nanocomposites since the last decade.

After the 1st successful conference held in 2006, the 2nd International Conference on Nanomechanics and Nanocomposites will be held on Oct. 10-13, 2010 in Beijing, China.

(1) to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art achievements and future trends in nanomechanics and nanocomposites; and

(2) to promote collaborations among nanomechanics and nanocomposites researchers.

The conference is open to all aspects of nanomechanics, nanocomposites, and their applications.

Selected papers will be published on the SCI included-Composites Part B Engineering and Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites.

Beijing is a modern capital with an ancient history. She is celebrated for her attractive natural surroundings, historic sites and cultural monuments, which make her a famous tourist city. The Olympic Games held in Beijing in 2008 and the 60th China anniversary have given the city a great opportunity to develop much faster and would benefit the coming conference. With her numerous research institutes, universities and colleges, Beijing is also the scientific and educational center in China.
